@Guitar101Ramstein Thanks alot, ill keep those pointers in mind.

  5. Guitar101Ramstein says:

@jimbo0u812 Formal/Private lessons are as good and as useful as the persons ability to teach them. I have had some guitar teachers who could play great but were basically worthless as a teacher. If you find a good teacher to learn from. it’s extremely helpful, if you try lessons and feel like you are not getting anywhere or just learning textbook routine and theory and nothing about how to actually use it, it’s a waste of money.

  14. REEFLeafer91 says:

  15. popcornstore says:

Excellent exercise for me to do! Dang you’re fast!

  16. galanoth17 says:

my pinkie doesn’t even reach the 6th string unless i suppress the bottom string with my pinkie. is this okay?

  17. cudders17 says:

This is a really good exercise, thanks its also rather difficult cause my fingers just wont stay near the strings, but im sure ill work it out, thanks again! :)

  18. SoccerFreak890 says:

I have small hands, so is it okay if my index, middle, and ring fingers move when I try to reach with my pinky finger?

  19. Guitar101Ramstein says:

@margott1 – Yes after you get the hang of it, use alternate picking (down up down up etc)

  20. margott1 says:

I notice you’re using a pick. Do you go up and down with the pick for each finger? That is, when playing finger #4 you go down, and when playing finger #3 you go up with the pick?

  21. okyehwhat says:

my biggest problem is my pinkie the way its positioned its completely useless, is it important that the fingers don’t interfere with bottom strings because I’m having real trouble using jusst fingertips and at the same time hold down the strings

  22. dogwierdo says:

He sounds like Liam Neeson from Star Wars.

  23. Bomber713bd says:

very helpful, i could feel progress in minutes, makes it easier to reach after a while
how many times do you recomend I do this though for each session?

  24. kimiluvzyou says:

  25. Hydraxeone says:
